Stash Busting Scarf by Jenny

This is more of a recipe than a pattern and it's great to use up yarn from your stash.  It's self fringing and there's no need to weave in ends because you knit horizontally, tying the fringed ends to each other at each end of the scarf.  I use size 11 or 13 needles and cast on about 120 stitches.  I aim for a bulky weight so  will combine strands of yarn to accomplish that (2 strands of worsted, 4 or 5 of fingering, 1 worsted and 2 DK, etc.). Just knit across and knot  the ends leaving a 6-inch tail at each end.  Aim for the width to be at least 4 inches.  The scarves are all unique and fun!   Enjoy!!

Clapotis Scarf by Kate Gilbert

One of the first scarves I made, this quick one skein project got me over my fear of dropping stitches! I made this one with Berocco Summer Sesame for a lightweight and eye-catching spring and fall scarf. Once you get the easy pattern repeat down, you'll look forward to the rows where you get to unravel your stitches all the way to the bottom. I get compliments on mine all the time!
