When did you first start knitting/why?
When I was 4 or 5
Who taught you to knit?
My grandmother, then my mother
Do you knit English/American style, German/Continental style, backwards? Left-handed? Eastern cross method? Peruvian-style? please describe.
I learned German style from my German grandmother, then American style from my mother
Do you have a knitting philosophy, and what is it. What helped you form your philosophy?
Knit to enjoy life more.
Have you ever taught someone to knit?
Many, am currently teaching a group at work.
What is your very favorite knitting book and why?
I like many, no favorites.
Do you knit for a living/have your own business? Tell us about it.
I have sold things in the past, but no business at this time.
What projects are you working on now?
Poncho with my students, a corset from Knitty, an afghan I designed with cables and bobbles
What is your very favorite yarn?
Debbie Bliss Cashmerino at this time, but many, too many.
What is the best thing you ever knit?
All those beautiful beaded fish.
What is the worst thing you ever knit?
The afghan I'm working on now - I hate the yarn but my mother-in-law bought it for me to use. It's for her.
Why do you like to knit?
Can't seem to help myself ;>
When do you knit?
On planes, trains, anywhere.
What is your favorite part of the knitting process?
Touching the yarn

My whole life it seems

Going to Lorna's Laces?
Do you engage in other Fiber Arts?
I sew, crochet, embroider, beadwork, am learning felting, crewel work, needlepoint. Would love to learn tatting.
